I’m afraid I’m of the opinion that blogging has now finally come of age because there is now far more value for businesses than their websites. The blog can strike out and make new prospective customers exponentially which is something that a static site with all it’s bells and whistles will never achieve.

Excellent Article.
While there are challenges to blogging, I definately see the advantages. If we could just get business and my clients to see those as well, that would be great. No many business have seen the need for good quality websites, let alone blogs and Social networking

Yes you are right David. It could also result in high returning visitors to your blog that is interested in what you have to say.

A good tool to use is “Feedburner” where you can be notified of everyone subscribing to your RSS feed and it automatically sends out notifications when you post a new topic.

I have found that by the correct implementation of the RSS feed of your blog, you can increase the visibility of your blog quite drastically.
